Knuckle threads, trapezoidal threads

Classic trapezoid threaded spindles, metric threads, buttress threads, ACME or knuckle threads are all part of our extensive product group. The diameters can start from as little as Ø8 mm to Ø160mm. Spindle lengths up to 6 m are part of our standard production. Upon request, longer spindles can be produced.

We offer all kinds of manufacturing processes for the production of our threads. Spindles are available as whirled, rolled or grinded version. Furthermore, we offer hobbing and even thread chasing, which is still occasionally being used.

Nuts are available based on our in-house standard, and can be selected from flanged, round or hexagon nuts. Upon request, we can produce a nut according to your specifications. Bronze or gun metal are our standard materials when manufacturing knuckle threads; however, other materials such as steel, plastic or cast iron are also available. Our in-house standards can be found on pages 85 - 87 of our catalogue.

Other options are stainless steel designs.

As supplier to the automotive industry, we provide threaded drives for seat adjustments mechanisms, soft/hard tops for convertibles, liftgate locking mechanisms, automatic gears or electro-mechanical braking systems. For mass productions like this, structural analyses or sampling inspection per VDA (German quality standard) are part of the standard.
